The 12th World Disability and Rehabilitation Conference (WDRC 2027) brings together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates from around the world to share knowledge, discuss emerging issues, and promote disability inclusion and rehabilitation.

The World Disability and Rehabilitation Conference (WDRC) aims to provide a global platform for sharing research, promoting innovative practices, and strengthening collaborations that contribute to the empowerment and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Theme: “The Sustainable Advantage: Human Relations, Technology, and Mental Health for Disability Inclusion” 

Conference Highlights and Impact

  • Keynote and Plenary Sessions: Global experts shared insights into disability inclusion, mental health, assistive technology, rehabilitation, health equity, representation, and sustainable participation. 
  • Interactive Workshop: The workshop, “Inside the CRPD Communication Procedure,” strengthened participants’ understanding of disability rights and international mechanisms for addressing rights violations. 
  • Academic Panel Discussion: “Human-Centered Innovation: Building Inclusive and Sustainable Futures for Disability and Rehabilitation” explored accessibility, inclusive technology, equitable services, and sustainable solutions.

Is WDRC 2027 a hybrid conference?

Yes. Participants may attend onsite in Siem Reap, Cambodia, or join virtually from anywhere in the world.

Yes. 

Authors may submit multiple abstracts provided they align with the conference tracks. 

However, each author is allowed to deliver only one presentation per abstract. Authors may present multiple times if they are presenting different abstracts.  

Absolutely. 

Participants may register as attendees and gain full access to keynote speeches, technical sessions, workshops, networking opportunities, exhibitions, and other conference activities without presenting research. 

Yes. All presenters and attendees must register under the appropriate registration category.  

Categories include Oral Presenter Delegate/ Student (Physical/ Virtual), Poster Presenter Delegate/ Student (Physical/ Virtual), Attendee (Physical/ Virtual), and Group Registration. Full details will be available on the Registration page.
